Lauren Widger

Hey there!

I’m a NYC-based communications professional with a penchant for food and hospitality.

I’ve spent the past thirteen years working for globally-renowned hospitality brands — from restaurants to hotels to theme parks.

My expertise lies in the intersections of nostalgia, gender, and power in food, which I analyzed through myriad lenses in graduate school — including New York Times restaurant reviews, vintage Betty Crocker cookbooks, New York City Mexican restaurants, and 1970s fondue parties.

I’m passionate about breakfast burritos, novelty cocktail umbrellas, and the endless pursuit of new restaurant matchbooks.
